Perth, Australia
Embark on an adventurous journey through scenic landscapes featuring vibrant yellow moonscapes, rugged ancient red canyons, and profusely blooming wildflowers alongside the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
On Day 1, we embark on our journey through Perth’s wine-growing region, traversing the picturesque Swan Valley. En route, we encounter New Norcia, a Benedictine Missionary site nestled amidst serene Spanish-inspired beauty, which invites visitors to pause and reflect on its historical significance. Our journey continues as we navigate the coastal roads leading to Geraldton, the sunniest town in Western Australia. Upon reaching the Kalbarri National Park via Port Gregory, we are greeted by panoramic vistas stretching down to the Murchison Gorge. Depending on the season, the drive through the park offers glimpses of wildflowers, complemented by the iconic Shark Bay World Heritage Area. As dusk falls, we settle into the laid-back village of Kalbarri.
On Day 2, we depart from Kalbarri and set off into the expansive Kalbarri National Park, bathed in breathtaking views. Alongside the stunning scenery, we observe the vibrant flora and fauna of the region. At Hamelin Pool, we marvel at the world-renowned colony of Stromatolites, one of nature's oldest creations. Later in the day, we reach Monkey Mia, renowned for its resident bottlenose dolphins, who grace the shores daily. Throughout the remainder of the week, guests may witness these marine giants perform their mesmerizing acrobatics and displays.
On Day 3, our itinerary takes us to Shell Beach, followed by a visit to the Shark Bay Interpretive Centre in Denham. We then proceed to Mount Scott for panoramic views of Geraldton and Grey's Bay, accompanied by the poignant memory of the HMAS Sydney II memorial. On the final day, we travel to Geraldton, passing by Leeman and Jurien Bay before arriving at the architectural gem of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Following a leisurely lunch, we delve into the thriving lobster industry, offering a glimpse into this lucrative global trade.
Upon arrival in Perth, our sightseeing concludes with visits to the Lobster Shack, providing insight into this multi-million dollar export sector. Afterward, we explore Nambung National Park, where the awe-inspiring Pinnacles stand tall against a backdrop of golden sand. Time allows exploration of the park and photography opportunities from its remarkable formations, ensuring unforgettable memories long after departure. Finally, we transfer to our designated accommodation for the night.
