Day 1: Arrival in Arequipa

The journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arequipa, leading us to the scenic Colca Valley. Along the route, we will traverse the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, stopping at the Patapampa viewpoint for breathtaking views of lagoons and wetlands.

Upon reaching Chivay, we proceed to explore the area's rich natural beauty. This morning, we visit the Calera baths, renowned for their therapeutic properties, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in these ancient thermal springs.

Following our exploration in Chivay, we embark on our return journey, enjoying the tranquil landscapes of the Colca Valley as night falls over the region.

Day 2: Exploring the Colca Valley

After breakfast at the Chivay hotel, we commence our tour of the Colca Valley, revealing the valley’s diverse ecosystem and cultural heritage. Our itinerary includes visiting the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, where we witness the majestic flight of the condor and delve into the awe-inspiring Colca Canyon, one of the world's deepest canyons.

From the Cruz del Condor, we continue our journey, making two significant stops along the way. First, we visit the historic town of Maca, a site declared a Peruvian Historic Monument. Here, we engage with the local community, learning about traditional customs and practices.

Our next destination is the picturesque village of Yanque. After exploring Yanque, we return to Chivay, where we indulge in a leisurely dinner and a traditional dance performance, enhancing our cultural experience in the vibrant surroundings of the Colca Valley.

Our tour concludes at around 5:00 p.m., marking the end of another enriching adventure in the heart of the Andes.
