Arequipa Day 1: Chivay

On day one, guests depart from their accommodations in the heart of Arequipa early morning. At approximately 2:45 a.m., they set off for the picturesque town of Chivay.

Arriving around 6:30 a.m., guests are greeted by a sumptuous breakfast before embarking on their journey. Their next destination is Cruz del Condor viewpoint, where they can marvel at the magnificent flights of the condors.

Continuing their ascent, they reach San Miguel viewpoint at 9:00 a.m. They then proceed towards the stunning Cosñirhua, Malata, and eventually descend into the lush Sangalle, also known as the "Oasis". This serene area provides an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation.

After reaching the "Oasis," guests are accommodated in comfortable bungalows overlooking the breathtaking scenery. Here, they can unwind, swim in the natural pools, or simply relax.

The day concludes with dinner and overnight stay in adobe bungalows located near the village of Cabanaconde.

Day 2: Cabanaconde - Chivay - Arequipa

Starting their second day with dawn's first light, guests ascend from the vibrant Oasis to the charming village of Cabanaconde. Upon arrival, they partake in a hearty breakfast.

From there, they make their way back to Chivay, stopping en route through the villages of Pincholo, Maca, and Yanque. By 12:00 p.m., they arrive in Chivay, where they embark on a leisurely drive to La Calera hot springs.

Upon arrival, they gather for a buffet lunch (not included), followed by a return trip to Arequipa City. Along the way, they visit several significant sites, offering a panoramic view of the region.

Finally, at 6:30 p.m., they arrive back in Arequipa, where they transfer to their hotel accommodation.

Additionally, there is an optional Colca Tourist Ticket available for purchase, priced at S/.15 per person, as well as thermal bath experiences in Chivay, also priced at S/.15 per person (though these services are not mandatory). It is important to note that personal expenses such as shopping, purchasing gifts, or engaging in souvenir purchases should be borne by the individual travelers. During the tours, snacks and beverages may be consumed; however, lunches specifically arranged for the final day in Chivay will cost US$10 each. Should you wish to tip your tour guide or service providers, this can be done voluntarily but is not obligatory.
