Your expert tour guide will meet you upon arrival at your accommodations in Cusco between 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM, after which they will chauffeur you approximately two hours northward to Cusipata for breakfast and shopping for essentials like water and snacks. Following this, you will traverse an additional hour to the trailhead located at 4,850 meters above sea level. Here, you commence a strenuous three-and-a-half kilometer hike traversing varied terrains—both flat and uphill—to reach the peak of Rainbow Mountain, situated at 5,010 meters. At the summit, seize the opportunity to relax and perhaps gaze upon expansive vistas over Rainbow Mountain. Descend for one hour before embarking on the return journey via public transport to Cusipata, where you are greeted by a sumptuous local lunch prepared specifically for you. Subsequently, you will proceed back towards Cusco, arriving around 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM at Plaza de Armas, ensuring a seamless transition into your evening activities.
