Siem Reap, Full Day Angkor Wat Temple Experience with Sunset

Embark on a comprehensive exploration of the renowned Angkor Wat complex, commencing at Siem Reap. Please note that pickup services are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., after which guests shall proceed directly to purchasing the Angkor Pass. Following this, they will embark on a journey to explore Cambodia's esteemed landmark, Angkor Thom, the once-fortified "Great Royal City," constructed during the 12th century under the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Upon reaching the South Gate, visitors might encounter the colossal statue of Avalokiteshvara, featured prominently in the Tomb Raider movie. Subsequently, they will traverse to Bayon Temple, renowned for its Buddhist architecture adorned with numerous stone-faced figures, followed by exploring the Terrace of Elephants, the former royal palace, Phimeanakas, Terrace of the Leper King, and Baphou temple. These sites are considered among the largest Hindu temples within Angkor Thom.

Following their exploration, guests will travel to Ta Prohm Temple, a site preserved in its natural state, partially covered by lush vegetation and large tree roots. This location served as the backdrop for the popular film "Tomb Raider," starring Angelina Jolie. They will enjoy a meal prepared by a local chef before visiting the authentic village "Phum Preah Dak," where they can witness traditional palm-cake and palm-sugar-making processes firsthand.

In the afternoon, guests will commence their visit to the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, the largest religious structure globally and a symbol of the Khmer civilization. Built by King Suryavarman II, it honors the Hindu god Vishnu. The complex houses thousands of intricate wall decorations and the world's longest bas-relief. A vast moat surrounds the temple, and its five towering towers serve as a prominent feature of the Cambodian national emblem. From the summit, tourists can marvel at the majestic and verdant surroundings. As evening approaches, they will ascend Mount Phnom Bakheng for a picturesque sunset view. Finally, they will be transferred back to their accommodations.
