During this tour, we shall explore one of the remarkable historical landmarks of medieval Armenia—the Monastery of Noravank. This ancient structure, dating back to the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, encompasses the impressive 1339 St. Astvatsatsin ("Burtelashen") church, alongside other notable structures such as the St. Stepanos Nakhavka gavit, the St. Grigor Church, and Stepanos Orbelian Sepulchre. Additionally, the site features remnants of medieval chapels and residential quarters, along with a modern office and hall.

Following our exploration of Noravank, we shall proceed to Karahunj or Karahunj Observatory, commonly referred to as Zorats Karer or Zorats Kar. This prehistoric archaeological site consists of Bronze Age tombs (cists, dolmens, or tumuli) and over two hundred standing stones (menhirs).

Lastly, we shall visit another renowned architectural marvel of medieval Armenia—the Tatev Monastery. Constructed during the ninth through thirteen centuries, the name "Tatev" translates to "give wings." Situated at a significant elevation, Tatev appears to stretch upwards towards the heavens. Its towering walls appear to be an organic part of the rocky outcropping on which it stands. Due to its unique design featuring the "Wings of Tatev," the longest cable car in the world (approximately 5.7 kilometers) now connects the monastery's complex, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Armenia.
