Day 1:
Upon arrival at Maun International Airport, guests will be greeted by Marvelous Mobile Safari representatives who will assist them with transferring to their accommodations via a 4x4 open-sided safari vehicle. Upon arrival, guests will proceed to the mokoro station located approximately one hour away.
Marvelous Mobile Safari offers a simple yet comfortable safari experience, ensuring that all guests' needs are catered for. The team will provide transport to the mokoro station, where guests will meet their guide and poler. During the journey, guests will glide along numerous water channels aboard a dug-out canoe known as a mokoro.
The group will then embark on a game walk, during which guests can observe various wildlife and bird species native to the Okavango Delta. Following the game walk, they will have lunch. To escape the midday heat, guests are encouraged to rest briefly in their campsite, taking advantage of the beautiful views.
After lunch, guests will have the opportunity to swim in the Okavango Delta's waters, learning to pole a mokoro and gaining knowledge of local animal tracking techniques used for traditional medicinal purposes. The day concludes with relaxation in the camp and a delicious dinner under the twinkling starry sky.
Day 2 & 3:
On Day 2 and 3, guests can enjoy early morning game walks, returning to the camp for breakfast once ready. The next morning, guests can choose to explore the Okavango Delta's channels, taking a guided bush walk or enjoying lunch/snacks while observing the diverse wildlife.
In the afternoon, guests will engage in another game walk, during which they might find themselves in a safe area for swimming in the waters of the Okavango Delta. They will also have the opportunity to learn how to pole a mokoro using the gnashi technique.
After the walking activity, guests can relax in their camp, refresh, and enjoy dinner under the star-filled sky. The evening will conclude with a storytelling session led by the guides and polers, accompanied by traditional dances showcasing animal tracking skills and gathering methods for traditional medicinal uses.
Guests who wish to enhance their astronomical experience will witness one of the most extensive displays of stars on Earth. The final day begins with a serene sunrise, followed by a light breakfast. Guests will then pack up their belongings and make the journey back towards the boat station, arriving for lunch. Marvelous Mobile Safari will then transfer guests to their accommodation in Maun or arrange transportation to the airport for their departure.
Day 4:
After waking up to a stunning sunrise and enjoying a light breakfast, guests will embark on a downstream return trip. Their guide will lead them through myriad water channels, searching for wildlife and bird species within the Okavango Delta. Periodic stops during the journey will allow guests to appreciate the beauty around them.
Once back at the boat station, guests will be transferred to their accommodation in Maun or transported to the airport for their departure. Marvelous Mobile Safari takes pride in crafting unforgettable experiences tailored uniquely to each guest.
