We shall conduct an excursion featuring notable landmarks such as the Cathedral, Independence Square, Iron House, Tunduru Botanical Garden, Central Market, and the Train Station. This guided tour spans three hours, primarily focusing on urban exploration.
During the visit, guests will also enjoy sampling local produce at the bustling Central Market. Historically, Maputo had been known as Lourenço Marques prior to its name change in 1976.
Situated within a vast natural bay on the Indian Ocean, near the confluence of the Tembe, Mbuluzi, Matola, and Infulene rivers, the city comprises seven administrative regions, each divided into neighborhoods or bairros. Since 1998, the city has been administered independently from the surrounding Maputo Province.
Maputo is the smallest and most densely populated province in Mozambique, characterized by its geographical compactness and high population density.
