La aventura inicia en el alojamiento asignado, en donde comenzará a desplazarse en van hacia la estación de Ollantaytambo para adquirir el tren Inca Rail o Perú Rail. Este vehículo, conocido como "Tren Inca", transportará al grupo a través de las magníficas playas calientes hasta llegar a la Ciudad de Agua Caliente.
Una vez en esta localidad, recibirán al guía turístico oficial. Si el interesado desea, el guía también acompañará al visitante en su viaje desde Cusco.
El recorrido en tren, llamado Inca Rail o Perú Rail, demora aproximadamente 1 hora y 45 minutos. Posteriormente, tomarán el autobús Cosettur que les lleva hasta la impresionante Ciudadela de Machu Picchu. Esta ruta consta de unos 30 minutos adicionales.
Un guía especializado se encargará de guiarles por este hermoso complejo arqueológico, proporcionándoles información acerca de la importancia y la historia detrás de este precioso lugar. Algunas paradas podrían incluir posibilidades de tomar fotografías, realizar preguntas y cualquier otra actividad necesaria.
