Participants can enjoy a half-day relaxation experience that combines a bamboo weaving workshop and a traditional Lao cooking class. The event commences with pickup from their accommodation via tuk-tuk at either 8:30 AM or 4:00 PM. Upon arrival at a rustic pavilion resembling a traditional Lao home situated in a scenic location outside Luang Prabang, guests receive a warm welcome.

Your guide will begin the day by introducing bamboo's significance in Lao culture. Guests will observe various household items crafted from bamboo, including fishing implements and musical instruments. Following this introduction, participants engage in learning how to weave a bamboo mat, utilizing overlapping techniques that date back centuries. The instructor will demonstrate proper knife sharpening and strip cutting methods before instructing participants to create their own mats.

Upon completing the mat weaving session, attendees transition to the culinary aspect of the experience. They will join a chef in preparing authentic Lao dishes such as bamboo shoot soup, bamboo shoot steamed in banana leaf, and bamboo shoot dip. Post-dinner, transportation services will be arranged for return to their accommodations in Luang Prabang.
