Starting our journey from Argostoli in the southern part of the island, we proceed towards the northern region. Upon arrival, we pause briefly at Myrtos Beach, renowned worldwide for its breathtaking scenery, before continuing our route toward Fiskardo Village.
Approximately 45 minutes later, we reach the bustling port and charming village of Fiskardo. We spend some leisure time admiring the traditional architecture that has been preserved over generations, savoring a cup of tea or coffee in one of the numerous cafés scattered along the waterfront, capturing photos, and possibly engaging in some retail activities.
Following our exploration of Fiskardo, we venture forth to Assos Village. As we traverse through lush green landscapes, we arrive at the secluded peninsula where Assos Village stands prominently. Here, we have ample opportunity to stroll through this picturesque village, marvel at the ancient fortresses perched atop the small hill, and indulge in a delightful culinary experience with a satisfying meal or a refreshing beverage at various taverns and cafes.
Upon our departure from Assos, we make our way towards another extraordinary destination. Along an astounding landscape, we eventually reach the mesmerizing Melissani Lake Cave. From here, a small boat service transports us across the lake to explore the striking colors of the water.
Next, we visit Drogarati Cave, where we can observe the natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites, which were shaped over millennia. Near the entrance, we find a gift shop and a small café offering snacks and refreshments.
Lastly, before embarking back home, we end our tour with a final stop at a local product store where we can sample and purchase authentic regional delicacies.
