Embark upon a comprehensive exploration of Florianópolis, affectionately referred to as Floripa, traversing from its northernmost to its southern extremities. Our itinerary begins with a panoramic view overlooking the breathtaking scenery from the Hercilio Luz Bridge, one of the world’s largest suspension bridges. This monumental structure connects the city to the neighboring state of Santa Catarina, having been inaugurated in 1926. Adjacent to the bridge lies the beautifully restored Largo da Alfândega, now a prominent landmark, where historical significance intertwines seamlessly with modern architectural marvels. The Metropolitan Cathedral stands as a testament to religious devotion, housing masterpieces by renowned sculptor Demetz Groeden, particularly notable for his work “Escape to Egypt.”

Proceeding along the picturesque avenues, we reach Praça 15 de Novembro, home to significant historical landmarks such as the tribute to heroes from the Paraguayan War and the Centennial Fig Tree. Continuing our journey eastwards, we discover the enchanting Lagoa da Conceição, a premier tourist destination featuring the largest lagoon in Floripa.
