3-Day Gorilla & Golden Monkeys Experience

Embark on a comprehensive exploration of Rwanda, beginning with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Subsequently, immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the misty mountains, where you can experience an unforgettable gorilla and golden monkey trekking adventure.

Day 1:

Starting the journey with a transfer from Kigali to Mgahinga Forest, we make a brief detour to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This poignant site honors the victims of the 1994 genocide, offering an extensive overview of the tragic events leading up to and during the conflict, detailing the atrocities committed and the subsequent efforts towards reconciliation and healing. Exhibits, personal narratives, and a tranquil garden provide visitors with a profound sense of respect.

Following this reflection, we proceed to Uganda via Musanze Town, crossing the Cyanika Border. Upon arrival in Kisoro Town, we settle into our accommodation at Ichumbi Hotel.

Day 2:

The second day begins with a thrilling gorilla trekking experience. Reporting to the park office for a briefing, we embark on a guided expedition through the lush forest. Witnessing these majestic creatures in their natural environment is beyond words; their interactions, feeding, and care for their offspring are nothing short of extraordinary. As we conclude the day’s adventure, we find ourselves overwhelmed by a profound sense of awe and admiration for nature’s most magnificent creations.

Upon returning to our accommodations, we reflect on the remarkable experiences of the previous day, enjoying the comfort of the hotel amenities.

Day 3:

On Day 3, we continue our enchanting primate tour with a golden monkey tracking experience. After breakfast, we return to the Mgahinga Forest area, receiving a detailed briefing about the tracking opportunity. We then set off for a forest walk, where we eagerly observe these playful primates in their natural habitat. Their joyful interactions and unique behaviors make this experience truly unforgettable. Following a satisfying encounter, we indulge in a leisurely lunch before embarking on our final journey back to Kigali, completing our enriching three-day primate tour.
