Metro Hotel Myeongdong

Opened in 1960, Metro Hotel became the first officially registered tourist hotel in the country, offering comfortable and convenient stays for both international and domestic travelers. Fully renovated in June 2014, it now includes a modern fitness center. Its excellent location, just a three-minute walk from Euljiro 1-ga Subway Station (Line 2), makes it easy to reach major landmarks and shopping districts in central Seoul.

Each carpeted guest room features brightly colored walls and wooden furniture. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV offering cable channels, a work desk, and large mirrors. The private bathrooms include a toilet with an electronic bidet.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The front desk offers concierge services and private check-in and check-out. Adult guests can unwind on the terrace or in the shared lounge, while younger guests can enjoy the children’s playroom.

Metro Hotel Myeongdong is a ten-minute walk from the historic Namdaemun Market. Gimpo Airport is a 60-minute drive away, and Incheon Airport is about 85 minutes by car.

The hotel is scheduled for renovations from June 16, 2026, to February 28, 2027, though the timeline may change depending on circumstances.
